As a curator, I always wanted to organize an exhibition of unidentified objects discovered in collections storage at the museum. Although I was unable to realize this idea, discarded furniture and art books from my office became a source of inspiration for this series. In this series, antique tables become martians and UFOs, a furniture book page becomes a cosmic portal, and Hudson River School paintings contend with a giantess. With humor and satire, this series ruminates on the pleasures and terrors of museum work.
